365 Challenge {week 1}

There is lots of buzz about doing a 365 day challenge. There was an article written suggesting that if you take at least 1 picture a day, and read one page from your camera's manual everyday, your photography skills will improve 300%.
I am a photographer because I like kids. I like to play with kids and this is great outlet for me to have fun with them. But I have never called myself an "artist" nor do I feel particularly artsy.
So after hearing such great things from friends that are participating in the 365 challenge I decided to join in! There are subjects for each day, but it is all about your own personal creative interpretation.
This is really a stretch for me because like I said, I am much more comfortable taking pictures of kids, than of having to create my own vision.
But that's the point right???
So anyway, here we go. WEEK 1.

So there it is. This was hard for me. I hope I can learn a lot over the next 358 days!!!

This is great for professional photographers, or (and especially for) just moms who want to learn to take better pictures of your own kids. The key is learning to actually think about the picture you are taking, and to understand your camera. I have seen amazing things come from regular point-and-shoot cameras. So the excuse of having a bad camera doesn't work. I would love for others to join in. Leave me a link to your blog if you do!

K Sally, mine are done but my hard drive is packed up and so it will be maybe 2 more days until I get my office set up. They are really cute though, you did a great job.
